Miayla Marcus is a London-based harpist whose work spans both classical and jazz traditions. She began studying the classical harp at the age of 12, training in the Junior Department at the Royal Academy of Music, where she developed a strong foundation in the classical repertoire.

Raised in a musically diverse environment with a strong influence of jazz, Miayla has long been drawn to the genre’s expressive and improvisational qualities. At 20, she relocated to New Orleans to immerse herself in its rich jazz heritage and performance culture.

Now based in London, Miayla performs regularly within the city’s jazz scene alongside engagements at private events and functions. Her performance experience includes appearances at venues such as EartH in London and the Davenport Lounge in the Ritz-Carlton, as well as festivals across England, including Beyond the Music in Manchester and Hockley Hustle in Nottingham.
